"Home to both Necromancers, Paladins and many undead the battle of Light against Darkness has raged here for centuries." - Doomwood Description

Doomwood is the most hostile region of Lore, home to the dark forest of doomwood, is drenched in evil and is marked by a Curse that haunts for ages and a War that never ends. It's a cemetery the size of a forest. But for the students of the Tower of Necromancy, it's a garden of the dead. Cultivated by depraved mages who seek to master the dark arts. If you desire such power, be warned... most of those who enter the tower's trials simply end up as another skeletal servant of their Tower Masters.

Kingdom of Darkness[]

Doomwood was once a beautiful land but with another name, there was life, Until the arrival of a Curse that touched the ground of this place and turned it into a Realm of Darkness and sufferings of the dead. There were villages and a Guardian Tower that was destroyed over time by dark magic, The great Xargoul the King of the Dead aka The Bone Hoarder was responsible for the state of this land, according to many legends Xargoul a mighty Ancient Lich Lord came to rule this land to his power, to rot for the dead, he started many wars against the living and one of them against the Order of Paladins who have long sought to break this curse, his plan was to summon the great Bone Titan with his Crown of the Dead and with it Xargoul absorbed many bones from many souls to summon the Bone Titan, He stored huge amounts of souls in that crown, giving him an almost infinite well of power, for a time Xargoul was mad for so much power from the crown and was defeated and betrayed by Necromancers who were after his power. With the fall of the Great Titan of Bones, Xargoul lived his last moments of weakness and died inside the Caves of Unrest and there the crown was lost.

The arrival of Xargoul's defeat, The crown disappeared with Xargoul's body in the Cave of Unrest, Legends say it was taken by his last Minions to the Bludroot a Dead Tree in the heart of Screeming Woods according to the book written in Necrotic the crown shall return to the King of the Dead. For the crown to have power it must have many Spiritual Crystals fully charged with souls, Without souls the Crown will have no power. Xargoul's Crown of the Dead was once a powerful item, but now it's just a relic without the power it deserves. A long time later, the Champion of Death was the only one to find through his adventures.

A long time ago in Doomwood there was an evil lord who was feared and adored by many called Nightlocke. After his long and terrible reign he was defeated by the Paladins, but his wicked followers sought to preserve his soul in a weapon. However, it was impossible to contain such a great and evil soul in a single weapon. Thus his followers split his soul into three parts, and embedded them into three Magical Weapons. Upon learning this, the Paladins seized the weapons and tried to destroy them. But their efforts were futile... damage inflicted upon the weapons made them start to move and talk. So the Paladins sealed them in three different Crypts and protected them with magical barriers. The Cultists of Nightlocke wish to re-unite the weapons, but cannot pass these barriers. However, many foolish heroes have entered these crypts... and none have ever returned. They say these weapons continuously call out to treasure hunters to come find them.
