Map of Lore in Adventure Quest 3D

Lore is the world in which Adventure Quest Franchise is set, it has a long and varied history. Lore has quite diverse locations such as mountains, magical forests, volcanoes, underworlds, coasts. And from their old franchises the map is shaped like a dragon.

Story[]

Created by the Goddess Lorithia and the Elemental Lords with the Engine of Creation, Lore is a planet of inordinate magic — its core is pure, strong, elemental magic — and variety in geological features. In addition, Lore is known to have two natural satellites: the Moon and the Zard Moon.

Unlike certain worlds that exhibit only one type of living space, Lore has many and very varied regions across its surface: it has oceans (the Egrian or the Great Southern Oceans, for example), deserts (Skraeling), jungles, forests, tropical regions, mountains, and even snowy regions to the north and south. However, this geography is liable to shift greatly in very short amounts of time.

The Lorian Pantheon is known to be involved with its world in varying levels: the members of the highest categories are very rarely involved, due to their non-intervention politics, while lesser members are known to interact with, or even wreak havoc within, Lore's inhabitants. Nevertheless, many of them benefit from a large religious following, though there are exceptions. Two such are Loco, unpredictable God of Mischief and Fortune, and The'Galin, God of Uncreation, who was given the task of testing Lore ever since his ascension.

Origin of Lore[]

According to the book "Lore: The Origins" in "Adventure Quest" written by Saggidus the Elder at Isle d'Oriens , it tells a historically inaccurate narrative of the creation of the entire Lore.

Elemental Realms

In the beginning, the Creator designed the universe, and the world of Lore. Whether this Creator be an intelligent creature, or a physical force, or even a dream, no one can know. Then, the Creator turned his plans to eight agents of its will. The Elemental Lords. Every world is governed by the laws of the Elemental Lords. The elemental realms have been in constant conflict since the beginning of time. Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Wind, Water, Light and Darkness. The eight elemental realms. Each pair may counteract the other in equal measure, but equality is rare-- the great battles between the realms forever put their powers at odds in a neverending tug-of-war. The greatest minds of Lore agree that as the eight realms continue to war on each other, that there will never be a perfect balance. Some believe that, in the end, only two realms will remain. These people think that those two realms will be Light and Darkness. But this is only a symbolic belief... Light often represents creation, and Darkness often is seen as destruction or nothingness. But the Elemental Lords themselves are neither good nor evil. The cause of the wars between the elemental realms is not the Lords waging battle among themselves, but the intelligent people and creatures of Lore who believe themselves servants of one Lord or another, and desire control over more than they should have. The Creator, a powerful thing, is not alone. For the Creator, too has its opposing force, just as do the Elemental Lords. This thing is known as the Devourer (The Galin). No one can say what exactly this Devourer is. Perhaps it is a beast on a universal scale. Perhaps it is a dark cloud. No matter what it is... what matters is what it does. It destroys. It eats the elemental forces from all worlds it encounters... and that includes all living things.

Lore Origins page

It is thought that the Devourer travels between universes, so as never to be seen. This, of course, implies intelligence. An intelligent agent of Chaos may be far more dangerous than one that does not act for a reason. It is thought that sometimes, the Devourer does not destroy a world completely. It will eat its fill, then move on. Maybe one day, eons hence, that barren world it left in its wake will be full once more, full of more life on which the Devourer may feed. It is also thought that the Devourer has already tasted the world of Lore. There is evidence of a great devastation a thousand years ago. Many think that the Drakel, a highly advanced, but secretive race, hid within their great domed cities while the Devourer ravaged Lore. The Drakel know much, their libraries spanning thousands of years before any other advanced civilization began.

Genetics[]

There is geological variety in many races around Lore, sentient species are multiple. Exceptionally, some of the races are capable of interbreeding, creating hybrids such as a Boog or a Draklin. These individuals can become new races that share both physiology and cultural self-identification if there are enough of them.

The races that are most prolific, at a point in Lore, are:

Humans[]

The most prevalent race since the Devourer's last coming, humans are found in every continent, living openly unlike the other races. Due to this, they do not have a sense of unity among their people; instead, humans have formed several kingdoms and, most commonly, city-states that run independently from, and usually peacefully with, each other. Humans are the only playable race.

Drakel[]

Technomagically advanced, the Drakel and the Silari, who refer to themselves as Kruath'ri, are a dracomammalian race who has existed as a civilization for milennia.

Elves[]

Most of the time they are regarded as a mystical race with a generally beautiful, blond humanoid appearance. Generally taller and less strong, but faster and more skilled than humans.

Orcs are one of the most common creatures in lore. Large and stupid, orcs are aggressive creatures with limited knowledge but have a thirst for battle and bloodshed.
