Umbral Caves is a pitiless but important cave, This cave is one of the only known sources of the highly valuable Wayker's Root, known to cure Gray Fever in Doomwood, but recently the cave has also become home to some unwelcome visitors. Lidra is a famous herbalist known to the villages, she is looking for Wayker's Root from Umbral Caves along with her father and brother, but things have gotten out of control. A plague of Insects and their queen Ixtis Harvester stay in this place, these insects are dangerous, they are fast and venomous, they look for curious people who visit the cave to lay eggs inside them, those who died became untouched zombies in this cave.

Umbral Caves is home to many unwanted insects, which led them to go there to feed on Wayker's Root, an important herb. These insects have their own queen, Ixtis Harvester. Around these caves, there are many of these dangerous insects, many people disappeared around here and became food for these insects, many insects lay their eggs inside people's bodies and turn into zombies. There are many bodies hanging from webs above the cave, and around it are many eggs accompanied by spiders. Not much is known about their culture other than the fact that they came from underground or beyond, so they are mostly found in caves where their world borders ours. The queen shares an empathic connection with all of her people, and even the less intelligent Ixtis are used for their brute strength as guard dogs, workers, or beasts of burden.
